Salon Manager/Stylist

Location: Beaverton, OR

Waterhouse Ridge offers a beautiful on-site salon to serve the residents and guests of our community.

We are looking for a Salon Manager/Stylist to rent the space and offer services. The right person to rent the space would be responsible for their own licensing to be compliant with state regulations. You can set your own schedule, as well as set pricing and services offered. The salon manager would be responsible for settling payments with clients and/or responsible family members directly.

Requested services are:

  • Cuts for both men and women
  • Shampoos and sets
  • Perms
  • Coloring
  • Nail care

Housekeeping Aide

Job Description:

Maintaining overall cleanliness, tidiness, and appearance of Community including common areas and resident apartments per service plan agreements.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Vacuum apartments, common and office areas
  2. Dust apartments, common and office areas
  3. Empty trash from apartments, common areas, bathrooms, and office areas
  4. Clean carpet in apartments, common office areas
  5. Clean bathrooms in apartments, common and office areas
  6. Clean entryway, patios, courtyards and ashtrays
  7. Clean sidewalk areas near entryways
  8. Clean courtyard furnishings9) Clean debris from perimeter of building
  9. Any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by any member of management.

Employment Requirements:

  1. Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
  2. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  3. Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, coworkers, and others.
  4. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
  5. Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the facility.
  6. Must be able to push, pull and move supplies, etc. in excess of fifty (50 pounds).
  7. Must be able to assist in the evacuation of the residents.
  8. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day with sitting, standing, bending and lifting.
  9. Must be able to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  10. Must be able to relate to the elderly in a positive manner.
  11. Must be familiar with cleaning supplies and/or chemicals and their uses.
  12. Must possess excellent organizational skills (as he/she is required to complete many duties within an allotted period of time).
  13. Must be clean, tidy and appropriately dressed (see dress code).

Medication Aide

POSITION SUMMARY

Our Medication Aides have the compassion and the heart-felt desire to care for and meet the needs of our residents. Each Caregivers & Medication Aide within our community provides the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all laws, regulations, facility policy, and guidelines established by Frontline Management. Caregivers & Medication Aides report to the Director of Nursing (DON).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Medication Aides

  • Provide medications and treatments through proper administration procedures.
  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration in resident’s chart.
  • Takes vital signs or observes resident to identify response to medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
  • Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
  • Receives supply of ordered medications for administration.
  • Records and restocks medication inventories.
  • Counts narcotics at the beginning and end of shift and records on appropriate forms. Notifies Director of Nursing immediately of any discrepancies.
  • Assists residents in activities of daily living as needed and as appropriate.
  • Responds to call lights in a timely manner.
  • Provides assistance to charge nurses with the cleanliness of the nursing station, medication room and supply room.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Preferred: High school or equivalent
  • Preferred: 1 Year Medication Aide Experience
  • Preferred: Experience in Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Assisted Living Setting

  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:

Responsible for the proper service of meals to residents in the dining room, maintaining cleanliness of the kitchen service areas and record-keeping functions. Assists other food service employees with cleanliness and sanitation of other food service areas.

Position Responsibilities:

1) Prepares food as instructed per the weekly menu.2) Maintenance of recording functions, i.e. resident diet record, daily meal count, cleaning checklist, and quality control records.3) Assists in preparation of food items.4) Takes orders and serves food to residents and visitors as needed.5) Clears tables, cleans dining room floor, dining room counter area, dishwashing tasks, other cleaning and sanitation duties as needed and as assigned.6) Maintain adequate supplies at station for serving food, including paper goods, dishes, flatware, glassware, and condiments.7) Identifies each resident, maintains familiarity with diet needs of each resident.8) Conducts inventory of perishable foods and supplies as directed.9) Orders food and supplies following established procedures as directed.10) Supervises food production/quality control, maintaining highest standards.11) Maintains and distributes Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).12) Maintains highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining room.13) Performs other duties as assigned by any member of management.

  • Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to health and safety in food preparation.
  • Demonstrated ability in food service management and services.
  • Experience in dealing with the elderly and their dietary needs.
  • Knowledge of food costs and budget comparison.
  • 18-24 months experience in similar position preferred.

  • Our Caregivers maintain patient stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine; recording intake and output information.
  • Our Caregivers provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients’ call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to nursing supervisor.
  • Our Caregivers document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.

  • Preferred: High school or equivalent
  • Preferred: Experience caregiving in Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Assisted Living Setting
